I know these look a bit like samples awaiting the doctors surgery, but they are photo chemicals. Today I thought I’d develop one of the films I took last week on the Coronet Rapier camera. There wasn’t any Kodak D76 made up so I had a look in the photo cupboard and found an unopened bottle of Tetenal Ultrafin developer. I’m guessing it’s about 20 years old as the faded price tag said £3.99p ($5.26 – 4.51 euro) When I poured the developer out after developing the film it came out this lovely shade of green, oh well I thought carry on it might be OK, and it was. The film is hanging up in the spare room drying now. I will scan in the negatives tomorrow and see if they are any good.

What a beauty!

Vintage camera and vintage chemicals – it must be over 30 years since I last processed film in my darkroom. That’s rather terrifying thought!

I still have my enlarger, but I doubt I will ever use it again.

Reminds me of my chemistry set I had as a kid. Just scanned them in, not bad for a camera with a one element lens, 🙂
