Somewhere In Oregon
Olympus OM2sp, Zuiko 24mm, Ilford SFX, Red Filter.
Another image from the archive taken on the road to Crater Lake, which followed the course of this river for quite some distance. There was hardly any other traffic on the road, and I remember stopping at a roadside cafe that was made from an old time railway caboose, lovely.
Lovely shot – the tones are fantastic – that water is almost black!

The Ilford SFX film is semi Infrared if you use a red filter on the lens. It was a great place to visit, a lot of Oregon state is very wild.

That’s interesting, I’ve never heard of that film, nor have I shot IR – perhaps I should, I really like the look!

The Ilford SFX is a bit expensive nowadays but Rollei make an infrared film that’s a good price, Nik & Trick are one supplier, https://ntphotoworks.com/product-category/camera-film/rollei-and-agfa/page/3/ Just add a Red 25A filter.

Thanks for the tip – I’ll need to dust off my old F-1.

A fine camera, worth the dusting.

Indeed – it’s not been used for a good while. I think it might even have a roll of XP2 in it.

I loved using SFX – must dust off one the film cameras and run a couple of rolls through.

It’s a great film, bit expensive now but sometimes there are some offers on near to expiry date rolls.
