My contribution to the “Thursday Doors” over at Dan Antion’s excellent blog, check out the link https://nofacilities.com/2022/02/10/goodbye-wethersfield/ for more great doors.
The Crescent

Apparently in the 1960’s they wanted to demolish these buildings ! thankfully they were repurposed and saved by a local businessman. I really like what we have left of the Georgian style of architecture in the city.
These are wonderful! I am also glad they found a way to preserve them. These easy choice is to tear down and replace, but you can never get these back.

Thanks Dan, a lot of lovely buildings in the city have been demolished over the years, but at least some have survived and been restored,

I’m so glad these were saved from the good intentions of town planners of the 60s. Nice to have people who are against the spirit of the times.
