I’ve posted images of this former school before on “Thursday Doors” but that was before lockdown, so along with my photo buddies we decided to check it out again on one of our city walks. It’s Grade II listed so in theory can’t be demolished, sadly it doesn’t look like anything has been done with it during the last few years.

This is a fairly new church, opened in 1952, (a good year !) and not too far from where I live.
Well I think I have exhausted my door collection, will have get out and about, if it ever stops raining and see if I can find some more to photograph.

It’s sad to see the former church abandoned. I hope something can be done with the building. We’ve seen everything from other churches, to housing, to craft breweries move in. From its appearance, it looks like many people of faith contributed much to raise the structure. The newer church is beautiful.

Thanks Dan, St Patricks was built in a poor area of the city, I think primarily to give the children an education, I’m surprised it hasn’t been converted to apartments like most of the other empty buildings or lots in the city.
