PhotoWalk

22-04-18

Met up with my PhotoWalk buddies on Friday, it was a lovely sunny day. So after a cup of coffee or two and a catch up we headed down to the canal area. I had my Sigma digital and 2 film cameras with me.

It was lovely to see the new spring growth.

We then moved onto the old canal industrial area to look at some street (canal) art.

I always like looking behind the factories for some unintentional art.

It was a great photowalk, with good company and weather.

Konica Lexio 70W

SDIM0001
Put a couple of rolls of film through this Konica in September for the first time. I bought the camera about 2-3 years ago for £7.99p, It didn’t look as if it had been used very much at all, It came with a case, the instruction manual and original box.

The weather was really dull when I used the camera, and the film I was using had an expiry date of 2001, so there were some strange colour shifts on some of the shots, but I don’t mind that.

The water wasn’t this colour, but I like the effect.

This was more like the true colour of the water.

This was taken on a brighter day near to home.

I’ve seen a couple of reviews for this camera which really didn’t rate it that much. Well I like the camera, 28-70mm zoom lens, part metal clad body, and you can switch the flash off.

Canal Walk Photo’s

Here are few more images from my walk along the canal a couple of weeks ago. I took my Sigma DP1 with me and shot for HDR, quite difficult handheld.

Old Rundown Mill Factory

This old factory is quite difficult to photograph as the sun is directly behind it, but the HDR helped.

Lock 42

DP!-Canal-Studio-Building

This old factory building is used as a recording studio and as the name implies it stands next to lock 42 on the canal. I really like the architectural panel above the doorway.
