Went to a gig at a local pub on Friday, so good to get some normality back into daily life. I was at junior school with the guitarist, we’re going back to 1959/60 here ! and, as an added bonus Ann Duggan turned up and sang a couple of numbers with the band. It was so good to be out socially again, enjoying a beer or two and catching up with old friends.
The “Bitter Sweet” part of the title is the passing away a week ago of a friend, she was so vivacious, lively and generous, and will be dearly missed, so many good memories.
A few times there were tears in my eyes remembering her dancing by the stage with my best friend.
Walking home it was really misty, I had only brought my phone with me, so excuse the image quality.
Went for a PhotoWalk with my two PhotoBuddies today, for once the weather was bright and sunny. One of the guys had just got a new iPad and sneakily took a photo. It’s only when I look at a current photo that I realise how old I am, my brain certainly doesn’t. It looks like I haven’t any hair, I did have a very severe haircut last week, might be worth investigating getting a syrup fig !!!!

It was really good to get out and about with the guys, we rounded off the walk with a bowl of carrot & coriander soup and a coffee at the World Peace cafe in the town. According to the fitness app I walked 6.5 miles (10.4 Kilometres).
Most of the photographs I took were on a film camera, hopefully I can find time to develop the film tomorrow and scan in the negatives on Thursday if they are ok.
I was on my way to town today to meet up with an old friend of mine, we were at printing college together in 1970 and hadn’t seen each other for 11 years. I saw this smiley face hanging from some railings and thought this is a good omen, it was, we chatted about old times and old friends and have agreed to keep in touch.
