Thursday Doors

It really should be Thursday Gates for my contribution to Norm’s excellent Norm 2.0 blog. The weather has been really temperamental in my part of the UK but I managed to gather a few gates on my travels over the last few weeks.

Some Attention Needed
This one belongs to a pub, a good real ale house.

I liked the colour and the bars above this gate.

24 Hour Access
I actually took this image 2 years ago, but have been looking for a reason to post it.

From my visit to Stamford Lincolnshire last week.

Thursday Doors (Gates)

My Jan 12th 2017 Thursday Doors contribution to the excellent Norm 2.0 blog.

The weather here in the UK has been a bit drab & dull so here are a few Doors Gates from the archives.

Bradgate Park
This is a lovely park and I really must get another car so I can visit again. Some of the rocks in the park are among the oldest (Precambrian) in the UK.

Freshly Painted & Fortified

Just A Garden Gate
It was the faded blue paint and the red brick that caught my eye.

Nice Topping
I did actually take this photo on Tuesday, it’s in a dark alleyway at the side of the cathedral.

This gate is quite close to where I live, you can only see a bit of the house at the end of the driveway, it’s really grand, probably built in the early 1900’s. The grounds have lots of trees and is quite a wildlife haven amongst the surrounding suburbia.
